About Imvelo

Project Overview

Imvelo is an environmental data platform developed by Young Volunteers for the Environment Eswatini (YVE Eswatini) to conserve, monitor, and promote Eswatini’s indigenous trees and ecosystems. The platform blends scientific monitoring, cultural heritage preservation, and modern technology to drive environmental action and awareness.

• Document the traditional, ecological, and medicinal value of indigenous trees
• Track conservation status and threats using scientific data
• Monitor both tree-level and plot-level ecosystem health
• Highlight cultural heritage and spiritual significance of native trees
• Engage youth and communities through interactive digital tools like QR codes and maps
